About Us

Based in the beautiful village of Rainow, on the outskirts of Macclesfield, our friendly, creative pre-school provides sessional daycare every weekday morning from 9:00am-12:00pm for up to 24 children aged 2 - 4 years, most of whom go on to the acclaimed Rainow Primary School.

We offer:

Management of the Pre-School is the responsibility of an elected committee comprising of parents and carers who volunteer their time, experience and resources. We have informal links with Rainow Primary School and the majority of our children progress into the reception class together.

Each day your child will be greeted by one of our excellent staff members and we operate a key worker system, so a single member of staff will keep a close eye on your child's development. Staff:child ratios are 1:4 for children under 3 years and 1:8 for children over 3 years.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the world

Throughout the year we enjoy visits from local professionals, and mark occasions and festivals from all around the world with special events, performances and projects.

Established in 1971, Rainow Pre-School is registered with Ofsted, and is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance. It is a registered charity (reg. charity no. 1043182) and is run by a voluntary management committee of parents.
